One Sunday in October we had to visit Lichfield, so whilst we were there I took the opportunity to visit the cathedral. A few years ago I was a member of the National Trust and my visits to their various locations was the main reason I got interested in photography in the first place, so it made a nice change to be in a different environment and take some photographs of a historical nature again.
This is the vaulted ceiling of the chapter house. A chapter house is a building or room that is part of a cathedral, monastery or collegiate church in which larger meetings are held. Because the chapter house is attached to the cathedral at Lichfield, the cathedral chapter meets there.
