June started off on a rather grey note, definitely different than the gorgeous May we had. So I decided to make the most of the dull conditions to visit a favourite location of mine, the weir at Monsal Dale. The overcast but bright light was perfect for long exposure work, but the wind was a problem. It was a real balancing act in keeping the foliage movement on the trees down to a minimum whilst still giving a good exposure time, this was the best I could manage from this composition.
