Whilst walking back up to the summit of Mam Tor from the second gate, I came across this wall. With the surrounding landscape still covered in snow, I thought that this wall would add some texture to the scene. Looking back I could also see that the fence next to it gives a great leading line right up to the summit of the hill in the distance. I just knew I had to take this photograph.

Whilst setting up for the shot, the weak winter sun starting peeking through a thin veil of cloud giving the scene a very welcome warm, diffused glow. I captured the image just in the nick of time, a few seconds later and the thick cloud set in once more obscuring the sun.
