
On a visit to Curbar Edge to try and capture the sunset, the weather unfortunately didn't play ball. All the time I was there, the cloud was thickening from the north and I knew it would eventually obscure the sun.
I was lucky enough though to see the low sunlight exploding through the cloud lighting up the whole of the valley floor below the edge. I watched the sunlight travel south along the Derwent and 20 minutes after this image was taken, the thick cloud had set in and I lost the light.
