Hello and welcome to Antony Branston Photography, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself.

I dabbled in photography in my early teens using my father's Nikon bodies and lenses with 35 mm film. It wasn't until the advent of the digital age and my first Fujifilm point and shoot compact camera that made me realise how convenient it was to be able to view your photographs straight away, seconds after pressing down on the shutter button. It wasn't long though until I found the Fujifilm compact not up to the task, I wanted to be more adventurous and learn the ways of a DSLR.

I was given a Canon 300D for a Christmas present and there was no looking back. I was still shooting in 'AUTO' mode at this point, concentrating more on trying to correctly compose an image, but the photography bug had bit. My first photographic interest was history based. Churches, cathedrals, castles and my membership of the National Trust fuelled this, but I have always loved being outdoors. Since moving to the Peak District from Leicester in December 2015, landscapes have been my passion. It's not surprising really, the Peak District with its rugged moorland, grit-stone edges and lush green dales are so inspiring.

So please feel free to browse my website and I hope you enjoy the various subject material in my galleries, thank you very much indeed for visiting.
